Job Posting for Library Director, Daniel Pierce Library, Grahamsville, NY

The Daniel Pierce Library Board of Trustees is seeking a library director to lead our community-oriented association library, chartered to serve the Tri-Valley School District.  The library is located in Grahamsville, NY in the scenic Catskill Mountains and serves approximately 6,500 residents.

The aspiring candidate should possess strong leadership and communication skills and have a desire to connect meaningfully with the rural community, library staff and trustees. The candidate must have experience in library operations, budget preparation, emerging technologies, and grant writing.

Minimum qualifications for the position include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.  A Master’s in Library Science is preferred. Salary is commensurate with education and experience and is in the range of $48,000 to $53,000.

NOTE that Blast into Orbit, Rock Those Rockets, and A is for Astronaut for students in grades K-1 registrations are STILL open. Register as soon as possible to reserve a space.
